Dragon Well - Long Jin
Also called Dragon Well, the much celebrated Long Jin variety is known as the ‘king of green tea’. Subtle yet distinctly flavoured and golden in hue, our Fresh Green tea is sourced from unspoiled mountain-tops.
“The Fresh Green tea leaves are long and flat with a green/ yellow hue”
This tea is sourced from Zheijan province. The unspoiled terroir is ideal for the production of this tea. The best leaves are harvested in the Spring and we exclusively buy our green teas during the Spring harvest.
2 tbsp per cup (250ml); water at temperature 75-85°C; rinse leaves; infuse for 1-2 minutes.
Depending on how strong or mild you like your tea, vary the amount of tea leaves used.
The fresh green leaves are delicate, for best results we recommend you pour the hot water on the side of the cut not over the leaves. If the leaves infuse for too long or the water temperature too high the tea may taste bitter.
The second infusion can be even better than the first.
“Green teas are a great source of health.”
For thousand of years traditional Chinese medicine has used this tea for believed health properties.
